One thing that is great that is coming out of the interviews with these prospects is that they are saying that Pitt is a program on the rise, and the coaches have a plan to rule the ACC and win a NC. When has that ever happened before?

About CJ Thorpe, not sure if he is coming or not but, and is going to sound negative. But looking at the photos of him on both pittsburghsportsnow and online, I gotta say. He not only seems out of shape, but he has about the thinnest arms I ever seen on a lineman.
So, he got an Alabama offer, which is the mecca for linemen, since they put so many in the pros, but does a team like Alabama that can get any linemen they want figure, "he is a great athlete and with our program that will only get better" or do they get caught up in ratings? What if he just has the physique that he will have a difficult time adding strength to?

And of course guys flame out all the time. Regardless my point still stands. I know some people on here like to fancy themselves experts or think they know talent but the guys doing the offering know more than any of us.
Do you really think that's because their coaches pay attention to the Rivals recruiting rankings and recruit accordingly, or is it because the people who do the Rivals recruiting rankings know that if the Alabama coaches like a kid enough to offer him a scholarship he's probably a pretty good prospect?
