Would be even higher if we played Gonzaga.

Three ACC teams ahead of Pitt in RPI.... UNC, Duke, and Louisville.

As of today--we have now moved up to #25 in the Sagarin Ratings while staying at the #6 ACC.

Current Sagarin National ACC ratings (with better OOC opponents thrown in and where Pitt fits for home vs away games)--

#2 Louisville
#3 Purdue
#5 UNC
#8 UVA
#9 Duke
#13 Gonzaga
#13 Pitt (Home)
#21 Miami
#25 Pitt (Neutral)
#29 Fla St
#30 ND
#38 Pitt (Away)
#48 Cuse
#57 Ga Tech
#66 Clemson
#76 NC State
#81 Davidson
#110 Wake For
#119 Kent St
#120 Morehead St

#121 VA Tech
#135 Duquesne
#194 Detroit

#213 BC

This currently projects a regular season result of 10-1 OOC and 10-8 ACC (20-9) heading into ACC Tourney. Would this get Pitt into the NCAAs if it became reality?

Probably, as long as they don't have bad losses to like BC or Wake etc.. If they beat the team's they should and win a couple vs the top teams, they're in with what you said...

4 of our first 6 games are now against Top 100 RPI teams.

Kent State just picked up a road win against a Top 70 RPI team tonight.

For those slamming our early schedule, it is no where near as bad as some thought.

Pitt just happens to be pretty good this year. Despite 1 bad shooting game vs Purdue.

This is shaping up to be a season where avoiding bad losses could mean just as much as a good win.

I hope we get plenty of good wins this year, but I don't think people realize how hard it is to go an entire college basketball regular season without a bad loss.
