This may be the least enjoyable Pitt team to watch since Gibb's senior year. I write these more because it makes me feel better than to drive home some point I think everyone is missing but here is what I have to say now that we are 500 in the ACC:
- The startling lineup - not a typo. If anything shows you how desperate Jamie is to shake things up, I think starting Chris Jones shows you there just aren't any answers with this group.
- Bringing Young off the bench doesn't make sense either - I also don't understand why they put a shooter on his weak side when he tries to back his man down which always leads to the double team.
- Anyone else sick of James Robinson dribbling into the key, picking up his dribble, and being trapped or missing a wild shot? And did the commentators really say good news is that he had 15 points...on 6-19 shooting...on 1-3 from the line?
- Which leads me to the FT shooting. Not a differentiator in this game but 5-13 won't cut it.
- ANO - I'm starting to think this is the guy that needs more PT. Total zero on O but he blocks shots and works hard to get boards.
- We wont the rebounding battle 41-29 (+12) and 19-1 on the offensive glass...and lose by 21. I don't even know what there is to say about this.
- 13 assists - 19 turnovers...I just can't say how terrible this is.
