They were both at Florida. That is irrelevant now, they are opposing coaches now. Urban needs to be all in with OSU. Durkin needs to be all in with Maryland. Recruiting is paramount.

Durkin and Meyer path never crossed at Florida. When Locksley got shown the door Haskins was gone. Speculation he would go to LSU witj Locksley joining the LSU staff. No love lost in recruiting

I'm guessing that Slick Jimmy no longer has control of all areas that used to be Jopa's - kinda like England gradually losing control over its empire. That would explain his desperation in trying to re-claim Western PA.

The days of PSU going to Northern NJ and picking up players is gone. Michigan is cleaning up and when Durkin gets things rolling in MD it will be that much tougher
