Right now is a dead period; that means no in-person contact between coaches and recruits, either on or off-campus.
That lasts until July 25; from there, it's a quiet period from 7/25-31. In a quiet period, you can have in-person contact but it has to be on-campus.
Then August is a dead period. Recruits can start taking official visits on Sept. 1, and that's the beginning of a quiet period that lasts throughout the fall.
So if a kid is going to visit Pitt between now and the start of the season, it has to be in the last seven days of July.
