The Pitt Media Guide is out, and one thing I saw of interest is the breakout of players by their class. The roster is still young, filled with Narduzzi recruits, but Pitt has 17 seniors, and all but (Darrin Hall) are redshirt seniors, which makes them 22-23 years old.

Half are on D, half on offense. Of the 16 redshirt seniors, 11 are projected starters and 3 are key rotation guys who will play a lot (Ollison, Folston, and Briggs.) The other two, Motley and McAlone, will probably play a lot on special teams. [Hopefully, Briggs will see most of time there too, not so much on D.]

The guys who are most exciting (Ford, Pickett, etc.), are much younger, but its nice to have that kind of experience on the field. Four of the projected senior starters are on the OL, at G and tackle, where experience counts most, positions that typically take time and experience for guys to play well.

23-23 year old on your lines are never a bad thing. Look at the 16 team, they were filled with red shirt seniors and they dominated on both sides of the ball.
