To begin with, I was as furious as anyone over that game. To know the slant was coming on 3rd and 7 and knowing that they would convert made me crazy.
With that in mind, I understand some of the reactions on the board. Upon reflection, I think it is important that we focus on the players who continue to bust their humps for us. They deserve our continued support. The coaches are also trying to win, believe it or not. If they are not capable of leading the team, that is an issue apart from being there to support these kids. Talk about not going to the games as a punishment to the program makes no sense. If you want to make your frustration known to Heather and the rest of the administration, that is fine. But go to the games and support the players. They deserve that much. Through 50+ years I have been there for many highs and, unfortunately, more lows. But this is my team, and I will be there to back them. I hope everyone will take some time to think about this and do the same.
