Remember how competitive BC became after their 0-18 feat in 2015-2016.

In 2015-2016 BC went 0-18 in conference. This was followed by 2-16, 7-11, and 5-13 in year three (beat Pitt in regular season and lost to Pitt in ACC tourney) Capel went from 0-18 to 3-5, 6-14, 5-8, and the world has ended. He is clearly not the answer. Capel is the best Pitt can get and we are lucky to have gotten out of the cellar.

Jim Christian sucks and BC is the worst job in the league.

Pitt really isn't too far above BC right now as far as jobs in the ACC. I can't think of any when Capel took the job. Even GA Tech and Wake have better recruiting areas than we do.

We all heard it when Capel took the job that HS kids didn't even know Pitt was in the ACC.

Dont need a recruiting area. Omaha, Morgantown, Lubbock, Spokane, Blacksburg, etc dont produce basketball talent.

Blacksburg doesn’t but VA is one of the best hoop states in the country. There’s at least 3 elite hoop AAU programs within a couple hours.

Yea and that literally doesnt matter at all. No big-time player is going 3-4 hours away in Blacksburg just because its the same state. Blacksburg is another country compared to DC, Richmond, Hampton Roads
