I don't have a rooting interest in this game but I'm fired up for it...for 2 reasons:
1. Starving for some college football
2. Big rivals
If this was next week, I'd be at the Pitt game or if it was an afternoon game, flipping between the other 45 televised games.
This is why I say the NCAA should allow an exemption for a Week 0 game if you schedule a designated rival, which would have to meet some criteria test so teams dont take advantage of it to schedule another FCS or G5 scrimmage.
Start the season kinda like Bowl Week with games Friday night, all day Saturday, all day Sunday, Monday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night. Then Thursday would be your regular Week 1 games.
