Smu at Temple. ESPN tonight . Nothing more forlorn than a Temple home game . In the spirit of SMF i may count the house in the upper deck
It really is a shame that Temple couldn’t capitalize on their success under Matt Rhule and get an on-campus stadium… they came pretty close. In the big east days i remember pitt vs templeat the vet. With obligatory. Shots of bill cosby
It's actually called Subaru Stadium. It's in Chester, PA, onTemple should play in the Philadelphis Union soccer stadium, 18500 seats/, that's perfect for them. I have no idea where that stadium is in relation to their campus
I always pull for Temple to win (except aainst Pitt
of course). Unlike Pitt in Pitsburgh, Temple is a
total afterthought here in the Philly area (at least
in football). The local media here just accepts
Temple for what it is. The big difference is Temple
here is not criticized, lied about, or ridiculed by
media members like Cook, Madden, and a few more
that Pittsburghers have to endure.
As most know, this is PSU country here in eastern Pa.
ND, UVA, and a few others are accepted here. Pitt
athletics isn't even on the radar here. That's interesting
because Pitt is recognized academically, and recently
even more so now than before. All three universities
are "state related" universities. I always felt that
status should have all three in some sort of continuing
scheduling process, at least in football and basketball.
Home football games are played at a near empty stadium
that Temple shares with the Eagles. Philly and the suburbs
are Eagles country, College football is almost non existent.
Villanova and even nearby U of Delaware have more of a
following in football than does Temple. Let's see how they
do against SMU.
Here's a "for instance." If Temple became a national powerhouseCook and Co. have an inferiority complex that the writers and radio guys in Philly don't seem to have.
Bob Smizek?By the way, what's the name of that
other negative writer besides Cook and Madden? I think he's a
Pitt grad and is now retired. No doubt in my mind he also had an
agenda.
Here's a "for instance." If Temple became a national powerhouse
in football ( I know impossible, LOL) the media here would more
than likely be supportive. You guys are blessed with a media that
would be looking for dirt and negativity if Pitt attained the same
national powerhouse status. By the way, what's the name of that
other negative writer besides Cook and Madden? I think he's a
Pitt grad and is now retired. No doubt in my mind he also had an
agenda.
This sketch looks just a bit better than the Microsoft paint pic of a possible Pitt stadium. Too bad they couldn’t pull it off.It really is a shame that Temple couldn’t capitalize on their success under Matt Rhule and get an on-campus stadium… they came pretty close.

That rendering is accurate as to scale as well as depiction of the crowd size at a Temple home game played in any stadium. It really is a shame that Temple couldn’t capitalize on their success under Matt Rhule and get an on-campus stadium… they came pretty close.

Oh well, 55-0. Just another day in the life ofLet's see how they
do against SMU.
No way SMU has 10,000 alums in Philly. Actual butts in seats, 3000.Oh well, 55-0. Just another day in the life of
Temple football. Attendance, 11,000.
Yeah, I took a 5 minute look on tv and the stadiumNo way SMU has 10,000 alums in Philly. Actual butts in seats, 3000.

Temple should fold their football program and focus on basketball and academics.
