Beat Wright State tonight in the Quarters.

Monday in Indy
7PM - ESPNU: 1 RMU vs 6 Oakland
9:30 - ESPN2: 2 Cleveland St vs 3 Youngstown State

Considering the location of 3 of the 4 participants, they should have moved the semis and finals to New Castle.

If RMU wins this, they could go as a high as a 14 seed depending on how many higher seeded tournament champs don't win their tournament. And that's one advantage of being in the Horizon as opposed to the NEC. The NEC Champ is going to be a 16 most of the time and almost never better than a 15.

Tonight showed the potential for what RMU basketball could be. The place was sold out and rocking. If we could sustain even a fraction of that buzz during the regular season, we would be so much more attractive as a program to potential recruits and transfers, which matters a ton at the mid/low-major level where there's not as much NIL money to go around, though more that of course wouldn't hurt things.

I didn't go but I used to go to some of those NEC Tournament games when they were really good and Sewell Center was almost completely empty (until the final). So it's a great sign that it was sold out for a quarterfinal game. I remember I went to a semifinal game vs Mt. St. Mary's one year and Jamie Dixon was there with Sam Young.

Well the caveat is that there are no home games after this since the semis and final are in Indy. If the rest of the tournament was on campus, I don't know if the QF would have been so well attended. Another thing that helped is the local media have actually been talking about us, basically saying that we're Pittsburgh's only hope right now with the Pens being awful, Pitt collapsing, and Duquesne falling back to midtable now that Dambrot is gone.

Don't you mean Wheeling?

I think RMU could beat Pitt right now, but I don't think it matters much whether they're a 14 or a 16 this year.
