Very disappointed that we didn't get this kid. Capel dropped the ball on this one.

Curious how you know that exactly. And please don’t cite other posters speculating/guessing he slow played the kid.

And to be clear I’ve become less of a fan of Capel as most have. I have no issues with anyone dragging him where it’s warranted - and there’s been plenty. But there’s also been plenty of nonsense.
Absolutely , because when a kid decides to go somewhere other than Pitt there could be any number of reasons for that decision and none of us know any of them . Everything isn’t always about Capel and his staff dropping the ball .
Capel should have been on this kid harder than any of the other portal kids. 110 3-pointers this year. I remember how good he was against Pitt. Capel saw his potential first hand. 3 more years of eligibility. But maybe that is the reason he didn't come to Pitt. He knows Capel is gone after this year.

I don't see how anyone could blame Capel for this one. The kid has 3 years left. You don't think he and his family know this is very likely to be Capel's last year? Why would he commit to a coach who will likely not be his coach for his final 2 years?
I too thought that could be an obstacle. But you’re aware that others that have committed have more than one year right?

It’s glaring. I said it in the roster thread. I don’t know much about the kid but just based on his 3s he was the one more than any I was hoping would come here. I almost didn’t even care what else he could do. It would be nice to watch a kid who could make some shots. But oh well on to the next.
Yea, I was surprised we got 2 players with multiple years left. However, the Hinson kid transfers every year so he probably didn't think it was a big deal if he had to transfer again.
That's basically what I said before.
I sure hope Capel can bring in a shooter somewhere. He still has a lot of work to do and we need at least 3 more quality guys, including some shooters.
We all assume this to be true , but I’m not sure Pitt feels the same way . Any improvement at all next season no matter how small and my monies on JC continuing on as HC . I‘ll give you 3 reasons why money , money and money !
