ESPN was not very kind to her. Said she was slow and didn't take the punches very well and the ref actually saved her. I believe they said she got $3m versus $100k for the defending champion. If true, wow.

True and true. She was a mentally broken fighter after the Holm fight and put up zero resistance tonight.
Amazingly the price on her drifted up to around -170 or so in the last 24 hours. Was a really bad number given the level of competition and the legitimate concerns over Rousey's mental state.
I highly doubt you will see her in the ring again.

The media over-hyped (as they are known to do) Rousey, and she herself made the mistake of buying into the hype.
Much different. Roy Jones started losing because he began to decline physically. He was never technically sound, but had unreal quickness that allowed him to basically avoid being hit. A slight decline in his reflexes as he aged resulted in his being hit with blows he used to avoid easily, while his opponents could now avoid some of the blows he used to land at will. I remember Ali talking to the press after he lost to Berbick in his last fight. Said he constantly saw openings to tear Berbick's head off, but by the time he threw the punch, Berbick was gone. This is what happened to Jones. Rousey is just an example of her weaknesses finally being exposed, and good fighters taking advantage of them. Those holes in her game were always there. She just had never been in with fighters who could exploit them.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who comment on things they don't care about. Just don't click on it and move along.
Ronda seemed hellbent on proving her worth with stand up - which is still amateurish on her best day. She couldn't have picked 2 worse ladies to do that with in Holm and Nunes.
That movie got canned after she lost the Holm fight, she'll get a similar payday to this one to tap out to Vince McMahon's daughter at Wrestlemania.
The line between greatness and mediocrity in all sports is razor thin. 1/10th of a second in reaction time is the difference between a big punch grazing your chin, or knocking your block off, just as on the football field it can be the difference between making a tackle, or just brushing a player's jersey as he runs by you.
And she got a contract for some Lifetime movies. So look for some kidnapping and/or bed burning plots.

She broke - maybe shattered after the Holm fight. Some people never get over their first beating and I think she's one of them. She was beat last night after the first hard punch landed.
Who knows how much that suicide talk was real. It could be, could have been a bit exaggerated on her part. But If it is hopefully it won't get to that again. I don't like her at all it never wanna see that.

The under 1.5 rounds (heavily juiced to the under) was the best bargain of the night. If Rousey won it was going to be by arm bar early, and if she chose to fight standup she was going to get killed early.
Yessir. It's folly to think she'd have ever been able to be a world class striker but she's a sick athlete who could have and should have been much better than she is.
And his "coaching" during the fight is on the same level of that of a fan yelling what to do. If you want to have a laugh search for the corner audio of the last 2 fights. Last night's was out there within about an hour of the end of the fight. It's embarrassingly awful.

I'm quite aware. And I was not making light of it. At all. I've had pretty up close experience with mental illness within my family. It's ugly stuff.
