I said many time even before last year and will say it again, Orndoff is a sleeper with many skills that OC like Haley knows how to use, and just a Hunch he will not just make the Steeler's but will start one day soon! We shall see?
Excerpt:

Of the 50 players at Steelers rookie minicamp at Rooney Sports Complex, few were better equipped for the challenge of quickly learning a playbook than Scott Orndoff and James Conner.

This is the third consecutive year the two former Pitt players have been required to learn a new offense, an invaluable experience when needing to memorize the intricacies of a playbook for the three-day minicamp, and a competitive advantage against others vying for a roster spot. Conner's place on the roster is secure, but Orndoff is with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent and was one of three tight ends at minicamp. His ability to quickly absorb the verbiage and intricacies of the offense — at two positions no less — could determine how long he stays in the NFL.
He likes his chances.

Wow...Are you sure Green did not cut himself as he is so prone to injury? That is a good sign for Orndoff but as a Steeler fan also I had hoped for Green to pan out....
Yes, Green seemed like a good weapon when he was out there...which might have been like 5 total plays (that I remember). Unfortunate luck with him. But maybe good luck for SO. They could always pick someone else up before July I suppose, but don't have anything else remotely out of the ordinary on the roster at that position at the moment.

I think Green was dishonest from the start and misled the Steelers with his injuries when he signed. The Steeler's seldom dump an injured Player and glad green is gone, if you can't play be upfront about it.

I think Orndoff will be another heath Miller within 1-2 year. I like Jesse James but just a tad too shy on Blocking but adequate. If the Steeler's can find a Great Tight like Heath Miller again, the Offense takes off into higher heights, and i think that could be Orndoff, We shall see?

Green failed his physical. It does help Onrdoff though. unless they can find another TE at this time.
