If we win the ACC tournament against UNC, Duke, and then Virginia (the three highest RPI teams we can possibly play), our RPI will be 25.

If we lose to UNC tomorrow, our RPI will be 53.

That's our range of possibility.

Pitt is in after today no matter what there RPI is. They punched their ticket with this win over Cuse. Playing with house money now tomorrow and the rest of this tourney. Let's hope what we did to UNC a few years ago in the tournament happens once again tomorrow.

Lunardi said on ESPN just a few minutes ago that Pitt "has done enough", and the three wins over Syracuse was the clincher. But he also warns about coming our tmw and losing by 30 with the committee watching.

That said, I suppose it depends on the other bubble teams, or if I weird upset occurs in one of the conferences where a team who wasn't slated to go to the NCAAT as an at-large, ends up winning the tournament. Worst is a play-in game for an 11 seed; best is a 6 seed if we run the table. 25 RPI and the tournament win would elevate us to that number; no higher

Lunardi's full of crap, Pitt is in no matter what happens. Does he really think (without a miracle run by an outsider) that the ACC might only get 5 teams in?

Agreed. What the hell does margin of loss have to do with anything.
