ZJ is going to get killed for influencing Spieth on that poor club selection. Not sure it mattered being dormie, but he's looking like a bad decision as captain. I think the US needs to do whatever it takes to get Tiger to captain the team the next time they're in Europe or this losing streak may never end.
Me 3, but I’ll add this. Thomas has no business being on this team.
Europe has played good and the USA has largely been garbage. Scheffler and Koepka lost 9&7 ffs. They’d be getting killed regardless.
Don’t know what was said there but if Johnson was involved with club selection he should be killed for it. I tend to think it was more of a make sure you’re aggressive type of thing but I’m guessing we’ll find out.
Tiger will be captain at Bethpage - you can bank that one. Especially since Phil has become persona non grata.
He’d need to do it back to back and that’s unusual. But maybe not out of the question.
And - European team played some competitive rounds at the BMW championship. USA was “rested”. Except for JT and Homa who played in Cali.
Because it would have been an automatic forfeit of a point tomorrow.
If that story is true I can’t imagine it won’t be addressed. May impact his future Ryder cup inclusion and it should.
But for the sake of the team has to be sucked up unfortunately.
