If true, unfortunate but not a huge surprise. He's kind of a tweener. Not dynamic enough of an offensive threat (not for the NFL anyway). You wouldn't be lining him up in the slot like many teams are doing with their "athletic" TE today. He isn't agile enough to be a hybrid H-back type. And he's not a big enough meathead to excel exclusively as a blocking TE. That meant he likely needed to stick as a special teams fiend. No such luck I guess.

Thanks. But I'm not sure what that means, other than not a broken bone, I guess.

I know that there have been guys who miss a lot of playing time with a deep muscle bruise.
