Did anyone catch the finish to this?

Seattle turned it over on downs at the 1 inch line with a few seconds left down by 5. The line closed everywhere at 3.5 so obviously everyone was on the edge of their seat. Would SF take the automatic safety and drain the clock like many teams do or would they run a QB sneak? They ended up running the sneak, which was a multimillion dollar decision around the world.

The other thing I noticed was when Pittsburgh’s own Quentin Jefferson for Seattle did his intro piece. Rather than saying Maryland, he said “THE Woodland Hills High School”. Found that amusing after all the debate on here about James Conner’s intro.

Yes, I caught it. Had under 47, so the QB sneak was welcomed by me. Also had Seattle on a teaser with Tenn, so that fumble scoop and score was also something I was interested in seeing the replay on.

Yep, had Seattle +3. Tough beat. Seattle lost it when the guy thought he scored and started running off with the ball ultimately resulting in a delay of game penalty.

How in the world do you take a delay of game penalty at the one?

I noticed a lot of guys were not saying their college, including Jefferson.

I watched that whole thing expire and thought " So Marshawn didn't get the carry from the one, AGAIN". It was first down and there was absolutely no reason they couldn't have gotten lined up and spiked the damn ball, then got organized.

The delay of game was strange, Seattle didn’t seem concerned about it or try to avoid it.

Almost made me think they decided they were going to pass instead of run because of no timeouts and wanted the additional space for their receivers to work with and the niners to cover.

It clearly wasn’t intentional. They were disorganized prior to spiking it to stop the clock (the guy who caught the ball acted like he had scored and they had won the game already), then acted like the play clock wasn’t running after the spike. Carroll said they didn’t have a RB in due to the situation on the prior 4th down play. Just horrible awareness all around.

Absolutely horrible coaching by Seattle to take the delay of game. However, that entire ending summed up the NFL. Another great finish with great QB play and a botched referee call and replay review on the DPI.

I wasn't watching. Was referring more to Carroll giving the Pats a Super Bowl win.

Yes, I know. The announcers referenced that when Seattle had a 4&1 around the SF 40 with under a minute to go until halftime. Beastmode ran into the SF line and was promptly swallowed up for no gain. He looked like a guy that has been out of the game for a year or so.
