He’s a good coach. But sometimes it’s just time. Maybe it is, I don’t know.
Having said that he’s not going anywhere (again Mr Fairly Obvious).
What would ESPN be saying if he, um, looked like Mike McCarthy?

Most expensive defense in the league and replaced what the same idiots considered the worst QB in football after an 10-7 season…and this is a last place team? Come on man. How long should we expect to wait to be a contender again?

Wilson is not good. Better than last year but not convinced at all that it was just Canada being trash
I’ve been saying Mike and Mike are the same coach for 5 years. I’m the originator. And that’s not a knock. Both are good coaches.
Well they harangue McCarthy on the regular. Wonder what makes Tomlin exempt from such criticism.

I know. I’ve been posting it here going back several years. Glad others are noticing the profound difference in the rhetoric.
Only difference between the two iver an entire career is Tomlin is 10-6 this year and McCarthy is 7-8.
The stats are eerily the same.
Why can't we get open? Slow ass offense development. The Chiefs wrecked the jive ass steelers.
This was not a collapse. This was the schedule catching up to them. They cannot compete against the top teams. The early schedule set them up for this. Only the ignorant couldn't see this coming. Their slick talking coach is just terrible. The defense is overrated and overpaid. It's a damn disgrace that the Rooney's have allowed this clown to destroy a once proud franchise. Those of you who are happy to see them get annihilated in the playoffs each year need serious help.
Building your philosophy on defense around “splash” plays is absolutely stupid. “Splash” plays are completely random.
We have seen that over the past few weeks when the Steelers can’t recover fumbles and drop interceptions.
At some point you just need to make a stop and this team can’t even cover simple routes in the flat, crossing routes, and seam routes. Freaking cover someone!!!!!

Both the Steelers and Pitt should just make the end zones say "Welcome!" and "Greetings!"
It seems like they exist mostly to host visiting teams.
Agree a 100% just getting gutted with simple basic plays and not just coming up with 3rd down stops.
Turnover are great but you can't build your defense on it good teams generally don't turn the ball over stops are what you need.
The problem with Tomlin is not losing these past 3 games these were good teams. The problem is losing to Cleveland, India and Dallas these type of losses just can't happen every year and has to end.
I envy whomever gets Ben Johnson, while we stick with a dude who literally - literally - gets celebrated for being very slightly above mediocre on a consistent basis.
Does it really matter who they lose to??? This team is not able to compete with the better teams. In fact, it's been multiple years now where they are not competitive with the top teams. We'd be pretty good, if the AFC didn't have the Bills and KC and Baltimore, and the NFC didn't have Detroit, Minnesota, GreenBay or Philadelphia. However, these teams exist. I just don't know how anyone takes this coach or team seriously anymore.

But he talks in pretty catch phrases and is Mr. Cool with his shades. Everybody loves this guy, but, he is all talk and can't back any of his BS up.
I work with a lady who always has to own everyone in grammar and pronunciation because she absolutely sucks at her job and knows that's all she's got. He reminds me so much of her.
