Serious Question

Wait, so Artis puts his hands up to not foul when you need to foul? What a clown.

There is no doubt Artis shaved points.

Makes absolutely no sense. There was very little line movement on the game and what there was went in Pitt's direction. Even had there been massive amounts of money bet with local bookies they would've then had to lay off that money offshore, which would've led to huge line movements toward Wake Forest in Las Vegas. It didn't happen.

Also guys that have been caught for shaving points don't play like total assclowns on the court. Most times it is done very subtly, almost know one would notice.

What about the ones who don't get caught?

Then my second hypothesis is probably true.

He was toking before the game.

That's why, as the game wore on and the THC wore off, he started playing better. He was horrible at the beginning, bad in the middle, and average at the end.

I still wonder if he was the one who found the suit case Durand forgot to take.

I'm gonna be honest, I couldn't think of any explanation for what Artis was doing in the first half. I thought, maybe he is throwing this game. But then I thought, if he is, he is absolutely terrible at it. Way too obvious. And if anyone knows anything at all, they'd know you're exactly right about the line movements.

I was having the same thoughts, so I don't think it's that crazy. But pointing to betting lines not moving drastically is much more evidence and factual than just watching a guy stupidly give the ball to the other team and not defend, and think he's shaving points. It looked that way at times, but you're exactly right.

Yep. Hypothesis #2 is the correct one.

He got a hold of Durand's lost stash and was smoking it right before the game.
