jeez you know somewhere there is talent-both on defense and offense. the nitter coaching-all of them- can't afford a lackluster effort. at least they line up and run the ball down the bulls throat-and in" dark glasses joe"fashion, pass only when you must.

Well, it's a test of the coaching, isn't? How many games has Pitt had the same situation? Garbage low level team coming in, fans counting on an overwhelming blowout, players (and staff) get complacent, and end up in a dogfight with a team of next to no talent that demoralizes everyone. We've had umpteen coaches who have failed that kind of test many times. Perhaps they have one now as well.

I think it could be an interesting game - to say the least.

Of course the Nits have the superior talent. But given the problems that they're having on their O-line, if they start making wholesale changes, that creates even more problems as the players have to learn how to play together as a unit.

The Nits should win this game, but the longer that it takes them to take charge, the more hostile the crowd will be. The Cult doesn't take losing too kindly.

I disagree with the OP. I could understand if psu lost on a heartbreaker, some fluke play or a bad call, hell even a Pitt 1980 performance with 21 turnovers against fsu. But they lost, they were beaten, they got man handled by a team with inferior talent. If anything, Buffalo should have a lot more confidence going into this game. They know they can get to hack, they know he is rattled and their offense is frustrated.. No better time to pull the upset than now.

PSU is favored by 21 points. Obviously, PSU will try to win by as much as they can but that certainly seems like too many points considering what we saw last week.

UB's biggest problem is that their D, which was among the worst in the country last year, might even be worse this year since the few decent guys they had are all gone. They have a decent SR QB that's been a starter for at least 3 years and some explosive RBs but I just don't see how they will score enough to keep up with PSU. Their only hope is that PSU still has the Temple loss their minds and they play an uninspired game (think us vs Akron last year).

I don't see Temple as being 38 better than Buffalo....bet the house on the bulls....

Well, you might not want to be Buffalo going into this game, but I'll tell you what you REALLY don't want to be.... Is Franklin coming out of this game if Buffalo pulls off the upset. Not only would the leash get shorter and tighter, but some of their select fans would be looking for a tree branch to tie it to.
