And, shoot bad, look bad. A friend, who was a HS coach, used to say that all the time. Last night was a perfect example. Clem shoots 50%, and 59% from 3. Pitt shoots 31% and 29%. Clem had a slight rebounding advantage, which they should with the amount of Pitt misses, but had more turnovers. As bad as Pitt looked, and as frustrating as it was for us fans, the game was determined by shooting the ball (especially when your star guards are 2 for 20). Obviously, some of that had to do with off. execution, and defense, but making shots spurs confidence and elevates your game. It is a game of 3s now, so there will be more extremes to the outcomes. The disappointing realization that the game was at home, makes it tougher to accept. No way should there be such a disparity at home. We know how inconsistent this team is. It will be if X and Trey are. As fans, the ups and downs continue, so we need to put this one behind, and move on to the next game. Hopefully it is a good one.
