SIAP: Pitt (likely) to face Florida in Preseason NIT

This according to Rocco Miller. Winner would face winner of Baylor/Oregon State. Non-conference schedule appears to be pretty much solidified.

We’ll be (or should be) favored over Florida. I’ve seen early projections for them in the 10-12 range of 14 in the SEC. I don’t think they are very good.

Baylor is going to be good, but not really good. A top 20 ish team which lost a ton. Oregon St was bad last year, but really young.

I hope we beat Florida and then get a matchup with Oregon State. Nothing against the Beavers (besides the Sun Bowl), but I’d LOVE to beat Scott Barnes’ school to win an event like this.

Ok. Makes sense. I was thinking we could beat them as they haven't been your father's Florida. We are the 2/3 seeds. Also makes sense to have Baylor/Barnes in the late game for ratings

I mean, as you said, the SEC is getting to be an elite basketball conference, but they were under .500 last year, lost 2 of their top 4 scorers. Some decent freshmen last year, some decent transfers, but yea..we should beat them.
