If he opts not to but remains "committed" that may be the first domino. Capel desperately needs an outstanding class.
Of course he signs. All of you guys who think he isn’t going to sign here are nuts.If he opts not to but remains "committed" that may be the first domino. Capel desperately needs an outstanding class.
Even if he signs, what does that really mean?Of course he signs. All of you guys who think he isn’t going to sign here are nuts.

Why you so down on him signing recently?
Because we're a dumpster fire. Suspensions, defections, arrests, 0 wins in the foreseeable future. I have no inside information, but I'd be extremely surprised if he doesn't reopen his recruitment and soon. Why you so down on him signing recently?
Nice to know that in 4.5 years Capel has built absolutely nothing except an embarrassment of a program and coaching staff. One of the main reasons he chose Pitt was to build something instead of join something already built.
You guys act like he was recruited into a top 10 program.Even if he signs, what does that really mean?
We go winless in the league and lose 20 plus,….
Any chance he actually enrolls? Capel holds him to the signing and forces him to lose a year, right.
No way he will come here. And Femi and Hugley will probably leave too. If we're gonna stink we might as well stink really bad so Lyke has no choice to fire him.If he opts not to but remains "committed" that may be the first domino. Capel desperately needs an outstanding class.
Yeah i was wondering if u heard something. I can definitely see all of this as possible just not sure that's how it will shake out.Because we're a dumpster fire. Suspensions, defections, arrests, 0 wins in the foreseeable future. I have no inside information, but I'd be extremely surprised if he doesn't reopen his recruitment and soon.
No, he did not hear anything. He will be signing here and he knew what he committed to when he verballed. He will be here and help to the turnaround.Yeah i was wondering if u heard something. I can definitely see all of this as possible just not sure that's how it will shake out.
Who will the coach be?No, he did not hear anything. He will be signing here and he knew what he committed to when he verballed. He will be here and help to the turnaround.
Jeff Capel will be the coach here next year.Who will the coach be?
No he won'tJeff Capel will be the coach here next year.
1. Can't afford it. 2. In the current political climate factors outside of achievement and qualification are mightily considered , particularly among the "eggheads". So my guess is "He will".No he won't
Some of the takes I read on this board are just migraine-inducing, and this is certainly one of them.1. Can't afford it. 2. In the current political climate factors outside of achievement and qualification are mightily considered , particularly among the "eggheads". So my guess is "He will".
Diversity is listed as a goal in virtually every University in our land, nothing is wrong with the concept, if you are unaware of it you must be living under a rock. In general, Affirmative action removes barriers that excludes groups that fail to perform as a whole on the traditional indicators(if the indicators are reliable or not is another discussion) The Head Coach has failed (and we assume will not this year) to achieve a .500 record in conference play after 4 years. Do you have a problem with ensuring that Pitt's first black(or person of color)Head Basketball Coach be afforded the "benefit of the doubt" to put he program in place as he sees fit? Would you consider that to be a negative for Pitt? Some of the takes I read on this board are just migraine-inducing, and this is certainly one of them.
It’s completely possible when he verballed, he was sold on being the first piece, and others would join him in this class to start bringing Pitt back. And now he’s looking around and no one else is coming aboard and he’s thinking better if itNo, he did not hear anything. He will be signing here and he knew what he committed to when he verballed. He will be here and help to the turnaround.

Yes, I am talking about this current coaching situation, and yes I do not like it at all, but as I hopefully alluded to, there are far more important reason to be very confident that University get this "right" if and when its time to move on. Any moron can see that, and this one has.I agree if you're talking about his buy-out. I disagree if you're talking about anything else.
The myth Pitt doesn’t have money to do this will never not be funny.1. Can't afford it. 2. In the current political climate factors outside of achievement and qualification are mightily considered , particularly among the "eggheads". So my guess is "He will".
Bballinsider was rightHe just decommitted on twitter 6 minutes ago.
Really, John?Of course he signs. All of you guys who think he isn’t going to sign here are nuts.
Might not be here next week.Jeff Capel will be the coach here next year.
Still sold on that?Jeff Capel will be the coach here next year.
Nope.Still sold on that?
This aged like fine milkNo, he did not hear anything. He will be signing here and he knew what he committed to when he verballed. He will be here and help to the turnaround.
Nope.
I can admit when I am wrong.Still sold on that?
SMF, I am going to say, that would likely be a no. No, he won't sign today. If he opts not to but remains "committed" that may be the first domino. Capel desperately needs an outstanding class.
Still sold on that?
The problem seems to be that the staff is so arrogant they see nothing to recover from. I get the feeling HCJC sees Pitt as such an inferior place to Duke that he doesn't sell it, only sells himself, like that stupid tweet about seeing who would grab a hammer....But at this point, how does this staff recover?

Right now I think there are alot of people who would like hammers to tear the BB house down. The problem seems to be that the staff is so arrogant they see nothing to recover from.
