Since everyone loves predictions...... do it now

I can’t predict. With this offense every game will be a struggle to win I just don’t think many realize this

Pretty much the same as I said before the season. Somewhere between 6-6 and 8-4. Thought 8 wins might be out the window after the Virginia loss, but the UCF win put that back in the picture.

The Coastal is still the worst P5 conference (by a longshot), Pitt could conceivably win all these games, probably will lose at least 2 though.

9-3 and I win every MLB for the remainder of the season, except for the one spread I bet but they cover.

My heart has us at 8-4. But my mind has us at 7-5 or even 6-6.

We definitely beat Georgia Tech, Boston College and Syracuse. I think (although would love to be wrong) we definitely lose to Duke. That leaves UNC, Va Tech and Miami as toss ups.

7-5. Our offense sucks; our defense is very good; and I see it as a Georgia Tech win and six tossups remaining (although there's a chance Virginia Tech completely implodes by the time we play them). I would have said 8-4 before yesterday, but our offense has clearly not turned a corner since dropping 28 on UCF.

The offense has improved each week. The yards gained hasn't translated into the points you would expect yet.

Assuming Pitt is on the other side of the most difficult part of their schedule- I don't see a reason for the pessimism.

Duke is going to be a difficult game. If Pitt wins they go 8-4. A loss will likely mean 7-5.

We're 3-2 with two of those wins being over Ohio and Delaware. You're calling my prediction for us to go 4-3 down the stretch pessimistic?

I dont know when people are going to learn one game does not translate to the next. With a good game or a bad. It's been like that for 150 years.

When people said we'd run the table after we beat ucf, I said my prediction is still 7 or 8 wins with but 1 or 2 games being a toss up. Same after this clunker of a game. With the rest of the schedule, there are no definite losses or definite wins. I can see us beating every team and us losing to every team. There are no Alabama's on the schedule nor are we a bama or clemson.

Saying that the offense suck- is what im referring to. It's improved each week that Pickett played.

Agree gt should be a win they are probably worse than Delaware or Ohio. I also think the other six are pretty much toss ups. If I was to guess I think we probably go 3-3 in the other 6 which would put us at 7-5. I could see another win or another loss.

Sorry, the ACC Coastal is not worse than either PAC12 division by a “longshot”.

I'm very comfortable saying our offense sucks right now. Will it get better? One can only hope. But it really sucks right now. We're averaging 17.8 points per game. You can't say everything is good except for the fact that we can't score, because that is ultimately all that matters.

Our defense is conceding 19.6 points per game, and everyone (myself included) is praising the hell out of it.

It's also putting up more yards each week. The points should follow but like you noted- it's lagging right now. Eventually the points should match the yards.

Not sure the points will eventually catch up to the offensive yards. My perception is that the offense is the scheme the ability to break an 8 yard pass reception into a TD is more athletic ability. We may just have to deal with a lot of yards without the points...jmho

7-5. I really believed in 8 wins to start the season, but I don't trust the offensive line to make plays in the run game and score in the red zone. Plus we drop to many passes.

7-5 with loses to Duke, Miami, UNC wins over GT, Syracuse, BC & Va Tech (if we lose to one of these it will be horrible almost like losing to Delaware bad)

Overall I love the defense and just wish we could line up and run the football more consistently. If we had a power running game to complement the current offensive style I say 9-3.

H2P!

7-5 with wins over GT, VT, UNC and BC and losses to Duke, Miami and Syracuse. Of course, this is Pitt so a win at Duke and loss to VT is just as likely.

I think we beat Duke but believe that game is the barometer for how the rest of the season goes.

My prediction is 7-5 regular season with losses to UNC and Syracuse.

I disagree with you on that, at least from what I see so far this year.
It's certainly debatable that they might be better...I just don't see how you can say it's 'miles' ahead of the Coastal. The division's only win of merit OOC is against Michigan State, the rest are against the other mediocre PAC12 division.

Until last nights debacle one could say Colorado’s comeback win over Nebraska was pretty solid. It’s within the conference, but Cal’s win at Washington was a stunner and qualifies as a big win in my book. Even though Ole Miss is down it’s still impressive for a middling team like Cal to go into SEC country and win that game.

I’ve always assumed Justin Wilcox was an average coach at best, especially with some of the dumb decisions he makes in games, but I may have to re-evaluate my opinion of him. He has that program trending in the right direction.

I think Nebraska stinks. Cal and Washington are both in the North division, however.

The PAC 12 South isn’t much better than the Coastal, IMO, but it’s hard to truly compare.

Correct, I’m trying so hard to make my argument I overlooked that.

I think I agree on Nebraska. The game at Colorado was literally a home game for them, and it was well in hand when they collapsed. Something not right with that team.

10-2. I believe in this defense whole heartedly. The offense only needs to be ok for Pitt to win out
