Yeah, I think as time goes on we are learning that the problem last year was the offensive coordinator more than quarterback.
Coordinator, and also receivers. Other than Wayne we had no one. Means has shown his skills and Mumpfield underwhelmed last year. The next 3 - Barden, Alston and Bradley transferred and aren’t starting at lower level schools

Maybe he’s still rattled from that beating he took last year. Is that still a usable excuse?
Who knows, it might even be what breaks the program if the bottom falls out. This is a must-win game tonight to calm things down, IMO. Just could not have anticipated something like this happening after winning 20 games the previous two seasons.
Nobody outside this forum cares about 20 wins the last 2 seasons. Not sure there are 10 that think it matters, those people are morons if they do.
This is a really weird argument (no surprise coming from a loser hiding behind burner accounts). No one said the milestone itself is something people care about, but it’s the significance of it.
Only a handful of P5 programs are also in that category, and it was a potential indicator that we were turning a corner. Obviously, that’s not the case because the offense has cratered the start of this season.
But it loses its significance if there’s no capitalizing on it. It was fun, but the recruiting bump never happened and he went dumpster diving to replace a bad QB with someone far worse. It could prove to be a 2 year outlier. We’ll see but there isn’t exactly a cavalry on the horizon.
I absolutely agree, and that’s what I was trying to allude to in my post. It’s apparent that we haven’t taken advantage of it. Sad because it was the most momentum we’ve had as a program in 40 years.
He’s the type of QB Narduzzi needs to be able to have offensive success with, because that’s as good as it’s going to get in the portal for Pitt.
QBs with low 4* ratings while in college aren’t walking through that door often.
Haha. Did he? I didn’t watch. But his stat line reeks of a guy who puts up numbers in a better offensive system, but incapable of protecting the ball and being the reason a team wins.
