So anyone know what the next crop of grad transfers look like?

Since it looks like the team has quit(at least a few players) and most likely collapsed, there might be a "few" spots open next season.

Which grad transfers should we look at? I heard about this chemistry major who plays some bball on the side at Cal Tech. He's only 5 ft 7 but he can make a mean chemical reaction.

Looking to grad transfers for solutions is like buying a used car.
The good ones are picked over by insiders and the rest are buying someone else's problems.

I was making a joke of course but also a little serious, since it will be painfully obvious we will most likely have to rely on that again next season. Pretty disapppointing, especially when none of these 3 guys has worked out this year. Had some high hopes when we played the cupcakes but they are overmatched in the ACC and against good teams.

Do you really think any grad transfers will come here with the amount of playing time this year's crop have been given?

Maybe, if they think playing time is available and they are better than the 3 we got. Unless they think they are worse.

The grad transfers haven't produced much, but how good could they be anyway? Stop gap is the answer not star .The NBA is obviously out of the question for them , but what about going overseas and get paid if you can unless you actually wish to get a graduate degree. At best they're fill ins and unfortunately Pitt needed them.

this was supposed to be Barton's thing.... he has failed and should be fired at the end of the year.
(juco's and transfers specifically from the north east)

The other thing to remember.... most "big guys" that grad transfer will suck. There's far more opportunity for a 7 footer in NBAD, or Europe, than there is for a 6'2 shooting guard who's not good enough for the NBA.

Huh?? Prep schools are Barton's supposed niche.

Sterling Smith was starting until this past game and getting 20+ minutes a game. Both Maia and ANO had started at points throughout the season. If grad transfers are expecting to play major minutes with poor play at a higher level of competition, they are sorely mistaken.
