All pitt has to do is make the ACC title game. Everything after that is gravy.

However, if we don’t make it and say finish 6-6, the season is meh at best. That just isn’t good enough in year 4, and the coastal is so weak this year you have to take advantage.

I’m just really worried the UNC loss will comeback to bite pitt. For all the complaints about the non conference, losing to UNC is what is dragging the season down. On top of everything else, if they had beat UNC they could clinch the coastal next week with a win, and even if they lost they stil would control their own destiny.

Finally, finishing up 5-7 should get narduzzi fires of it happens, but I really don’t see that happening.

If anything Watson will be relived of his duties! Pickett hasn’t gotten any better!! Have to be able to use middle of field. I see now why this staff wanted to red shirt Pickett last year.

Why hasn't Watson figured out how to use Pickett effectively yet? They need to run more RPOs, routes in the middle of the field, and play action to capitalize on the strength of the running attack. Is Pickett hurt? Why are there barely any designed qb runs. The kids got legs and is quite elusive. I don't get it.

Obviously you didn't see what PSU did to Pitt when we tried RPO. Pitt does NEED to be able to develop some type of passing game and Pickett needs to get some runs too. But Pitt needs to be who we are (traditional power running), not who we are not (RPO/everything else other than quick pass routes.).

Just because it didn't work vs PSU you quit trying it? That makes no sense.

It makes perfect sense when you run it traditionally as well as Pitt does. The RPO is for teams who can't run it traditionally.

Barkley for all his talent didn't have great statistical years because of the RPO. Him in a traditional set, his numbers would have been insane. PSU also left wins on the field with that gimmick BS. They run a more traditional set last year they win Ohio St and Mich St. This year with the talent they have the RPO makes sense.

People seem to not understand this. Play to our strengths

After how things began, and that this team still can't pass more than 60 yds most games, i'd frankly be fine with 6-6
