I haven't posted much lately
because I stay out of the
recruiting discussions on here.
It's mostly a lot of wishing,
hoping and guessing.

Obviously Two big losses for the
program this week (Champ and
Reid). JUCO Payton's signing was
a bit of good news. Replacing
Champ is a monumental task,
but we have three forwards to
try and do the job (Jeffress,
Oladapo, and Payton). I firmly
believe Jeffress has the talent,
and I feels he's going to show
it this coming year.

As we all know, our guard situation
is better now than last season's
end. We have experience, depth,
and decent talent there. The
obvious need is the same as it's
been all along. We desperately
need inside bodies...two IMO.
I gotta believe Capel has a few
he's talking to. They aren't going
to be Reid, but they have to be
much better than Amadason. If
Hugley returns, that would be a
big help. There's still a few scollies
available. Let's see what Capel can
pull off. I'm remaining cautiously
optimistic.

Go all in on Michael Durr. Maybe timing is coincidental, but potentially a solid option if he can be swayed here.

Assuming Burton is able to play- this is Capel’s best back court of his 4 years. I love 3-4s like Champagnie and Toney - if the new 3-4s players can be 75% of those 2; 1 thru 4 is fine. Jeffress will be 75% of Toney imo. Back to the problem Pitt hasn't had a competent big since Mike Young. That's been the difference from being a few games under .500 to a few over.

Even with competent big-there's too many variables to project this roster. Personally, I think this roster is looking more like an early Howland roster (minus a Chevy but more athletic). The big question is can Capel get everyone to buy-in on defense and rebounding.

Welcome to modern day college athletics.

Right now? Still 14th in the ACC and looking at 3-17 or worse. Desperately need a Center. Not sure we can land anyone better than Terrell Brown at this point

Exactly where we have been for the last I don’t know 5+ years? An absolute joke and a disaster of a hoops program with absolutely no direction or talent to even finish in the top 8 of this league?

Terrell Brown averaged 11 minutes a game on a team with no center. Replacing Terrell Brown isn't a concern of anyone except you.

Certainly have added toughness and don't underestimate a “more experienced New Yorker-led” team.
