So who do you root for - UNC or Duke?

Find myself rooting for Cam. Pitt grad. Never thought I would root for him. He is on fire.

Duke getting zebraed on charging calls. Zion should touch the ball every trip. Duke's backup center would kill it at Pitt.

Watching Cam play well for a team I simply can't stand makes me want to puke. He could have gone anywhere else and I would still be a fan of his. I wouldn't root for my own brother if he went to North Carolina!

The only thing that gets me through that whole transfer debacle is that it may have ultimately led to the firing of Stallings. If Johnson stayed, we might have won a couple of games, and might have been enough to not fire him. But I would have loved to have had him on this year's team.

I doubt if going 0-fer in the ACC had much bearing on firing Stallings, way more to do with all the empty seats in the stands. And those seats would have still been empty whether we won zero or 1,2,3...ACC games.

so you watch a game and are totally impartial and do not prefer one team over the other as the game plays out?...I call bs as I find that humanly impossible and a polygraph hooked up to you during the game would prove that.......

Don’t agree with your take. I often find it enjoyable to sit down and watch a game where you are impartial and don’t have any vested or rooting interest one way or the other as to who wins, just looking for a good competitive game.

I do find though as the game progresses on that I then may start rooting from one team over the other only because I think they’re playing better and more deserving of the win.

I was actually rooting for OT because I was enjoying the game and didn’t want it to end.

I loved with a dookie in law school, now I'm soft. Zion is likeable and spectacular fun to watch. Was a really fun game regardless, wouldn't mind seeing it one more time, unlikely though.

Since someone died and made Bilas God's chosen analyst many have gone away from Duke. He's not bad but he's coming down with a bit of Laettner syndrome aura. The Carolina academic fraud should point all neutral fans away from that shade of blue...btw, I think it was McGuire who died. My fave of all time.

Indifferent before living in NC but now definitely root for Duke in these matchups
Agreed. Since moving down here, I’ve discovered that a good amount of UNC fans are almost a hybrid of WVU & PSU fans. WVU in the fact that they are hillbillies. PSU in the fact that everyone roots for them either without affiliation to the university or via one of their “branch” or regional campuses. Often with blind admiration (not nearly to the PSU level, but still bad).

I was rooting for DUKE to win last night because I picked them and because I like watching Zion W. play.

Felt a little bad for Cam Johnson but it was just one game.

A generation ago I would never have rooted for either program. Now that PITT plays them at least once a season my stance has softened a bit about both programs.

If I had to guess, UNC or DUKE will win it all this year.
