So we lose on Friday to Indiana, when the game is tied at three going to the bottom of the third and we give up 14 in the 3rd and lose 17-5 in five innings.

Then we come back later in the day and beat Prairie View 5-0.

And today we come out and beat Auburn, who was ranked 21 in the preseason coaches poll, 8-7, on the back of a seven run second inning.

Win game today against Fordham 7-3. 3-1 for the weekend. Hope this is the start of a decent season but time will tell.

Is it? We beat the two teams that we should have easily beaten. We got a big upset against a top 25 team. And we got absolutely steam rollered by a team that finished under .500 in the Big Ten last year, when they played five games against ACC teams and lost all five by a combined score of 44-16.

I think given the game that got canceled, 3-1 is probably what we should have expected and it's certainly what we should have been hoping for. Not the way that we got there, but the overall record.
