Pitt didn’t receive a commitment from the #115 prospect in the Rivals 150. Rivals 150 rankings go back to 2003 and here are what the other players ranked #115 averaged in their college careers:
2003 - Bobby Perry SF Kentucky 5.5 PPG 2.9 REB
2004 - David Burgess C BYU 0.7 PPG 1.2 REB
2005 - Derrick Brown SF Xavier 10.3 PPG 5.6 REB
2006 - Lawrence Westbrook SG Minnesota 9.9 PPG 1.8 AST
2007 - Mike Scott PF Virginia 11.8 PPG 7.3 REB
2008 - Reggie Jackson PG Boston College
12.7 PPG 3.5 AST
2009 - Demetrius Walker SG ASU 6.8 PPG 1.3 AST
2010 - Russell Byrd SF MSU 1.4 PPG 0.8 REB
2011 - Erik Copes George Mason PF 4.7 PPG
5.1 REB
2012 - Wannah Bail PF TTU 1.6 PPG 1.5 REB
2013 - Derek Willis PF UK 5.4 PPG 3.4 REB
2014 - Matthew Fisher-Davis SG Vandy 10.4 PPG 1.2 AST
2015 - Kaiser Gates PF Xavier 5.5 PPG 3.8 REB
2016 - Tyrique Jones PF Xavier 6.8 PPG 4.6 REB
2017 - Kevin Samuel C TCU 7.8 PPG 7.4 REB
2018 - Aaron Henry SF MSU 5.1 PPG 3.0 REB
So there it is 16 players ranked #115 by Rivals and of those 16 players just 5 averaged double figure points per game for their career. With the high PPG being 12.7 by Reggie Jackson who is also the only one who has had any NBA success (12.3 PPG in 9 seasons)
So to recap the sky is not falling because #115 Qudus Wahab picked Georgetown over Pitt in fact the odds are they he won’t be much of a factor in his college basketball career most likely a decent contributor for the Hoyas. Pitt and Jeff Capel can still find decent contributors I wouldn’t be too worried about that.
