Gibson too. That's a lethal combo down there in Morganhole.

I could see Miami or FSU making a run at him if their current coaches don't last.

Well, I definitely don’t see them lasting. Maybe richt being a Miami guy will get a few more years. I just don’t see it with taggart at FSU.

That would be interesting though. Holgorsen’s personality just doesn’t seem like it would fit in Florida. But he’s done well recruiting some kids down there, so as coach at Miami or FSU I do think he could do really well.

Holgy's personality wouldn't fit in Florida? To me, it would be perfect.

Not that it really means much, if you can coach you can coach. If I just saw a picture of him though, I’d guess he’s West Virginia’s football coach. I think Miami, I think Howard schnellenberger with a suit and a tobacco pipe. FSU I think Bowden and a straw hat.

They’d love holgy down there if he won. But man the drunk guy with a balding mullet, that’s West Virginia football if you had to put a face to it.

There is no more perfect coaching duo that matches the personality of their school than Holgy and Huggy.

I don’t even mean that as a slight... they really are perfect matches and should retire at WVU.

I would agree but isnt Holgy single? Seems like he'd want to chase some Florida tail.

This helps a ton.

The records of the teams WVU beat are 4-5, 3-6, 5-4, 3-6, 5-4, 6-3, and Youngstown St. They lost to a 5-3 team. They have 4-5 and 5-4 coming up before ending with Oklahoma. And not rescheduling at NC St. Taking advantage of that weak schedule when given the chance.

And yet, here we sit in the top ten.

We just beat a ranked Texas teams in front of 100,000 fans on national television, a couple weeks after they defeated Oklahoma. WVU doesn't need to apologize for anything at this point, just keep winning.

Holgy could coach anywhere save for Pitt......

That state doesn’t have a drop of talent yet he’s Winning.
What a coach.
Same with Huggy

I hope Pitt coaches start drinking.

He isn't married at the moment, unless he snuck one in on us!He and Huggy are Wvu's dynamo duo that fit the program to a Tee.I'm not sure if thats good or bad in the eyes of Joe B Public?I only wish Holgy recruited a slight bit better than he does.

Let's let the season play our first before Holgar is made the #1 top coaching prospect. WVU could very easily finish 7-4 or 8-3.

That wasn't a knock on WVU more a comment on how an easy schedule often results in a ranked team.

So we have some Pitt fans here hoping a coach we can all agree does a great job, leaves a school we never play (and would be OOC if we did), possibly to be hired by a school in our conference, even one we'd play every year?

Me, I think Miami or UNC should give Paul Pasqueloni (sp) or Doug Marroon another chance.

Teams dont go after Holgs, they know WVU is not PITT, tries to win , wont let him go without a real fight. So there is that.....

I think Gibson is just as much a part of their success as Holgy. And lets be honest this is by far the best team holgy has had since his first season. Plenty of WVU fans wanted him gone just two years ago. After the QB leaves he could easily slip back to 7-5 type of season's. Gibson is likely to leave at some point unless he doesn't want to be a HC. I would think he would start getting some offers.
