Something puzzling

Agreed. I really hope to see a combination of Conner and Ollison take the majority of the reps at the running back position this week. Hopefully whatever Ollison has going on, whether its injury-related or being in the doghouse with the coached, has been resolved and he comes out ready to play.
Go hard with JC in first and beginning of second. Go hard with Ollison with a light pinch of Hall in late 2nd and 3rd. Come back with JC and ollison in 4th. Voila, it's as easy as that.

Absolutely! The staff claims to have 3-4 great options at the RB position, please use them!

LOL, all we heard all summer is how deep we are. Then we read article in trib last week how JC is being way overused, how he is 'gassed' in 4th quarter. Something amiss here.

I hate to get into the pitt player vs pitt player but I kind of agree. People really love hall and moss and they completely discount Ollison. One has rushed for over 1100 yards, got the rookie ACC offensive player of the year award, faced the most 8 man fronts in all of the ACC last year and the other guys, well the other guys allegedly look good in practice. I say allegedly because no one has seen it, outside of players and coaches of course and there has been a quote, here and there, and that's our real proof..

odd that we discount actual game production for some half-ass quote from a coach about a rep or two in spring ball when the players are wearing shorts..

It is a bit odd.

Ollison has great vision, patience, cutting ability and is deceptively quick getting to a hole he sees in the line. He reminds me a little of Franco Harris in that way. The type of back who will get stuffed a few times, but then will break one for lots of yards.

I know it's still early for them but Hall and Moss, while solid backs, just haven't proven to be the game changers Oillison has proven to be.

To me, it's like choosing between three slot machines: Two slots machine that pay out a few coins a little more frequently versus one that pays out a few coins a little less often, but also will pay out buckets of coins if you play it enough times.
