So the Messi to Miami move is looking closer than ever. Rumor is Suarez is coming too. And even though Fabregas is not South American, he is Spanish so that’s close enough to make him a honorary South American MLS C teamer. He is one of my favorite players of all time and I would pay money to see him on the same team as Messi again.

I thought Fabregas retired 5 years ago. He's ONLY 35???

They said during the broadcast today that Busquets may go to Miami.

I think Miami, LAFC, and LA Galaxy should create legit super teams. I would say NYCFC and RBNY but they are the minor league version of their mother clubs, a big reason why I dont think Euro clubs should be allowed to own MLS clubs. If the player had any ability left to start for the mother club, they would want them for Man City or Leipzig.

Ha! Yeah cesc went to France which is obscurity. He played with and mentored Touchemeni at Monaco and tried to steer him to Chelsea. The Chelsea brass delayed the signing, then the Ukraine invasion happened, and Madrid decided they wanted him…and now he’s tearing it up there.

Fabregas still bleeds blue so I’ll always love the guy.
I remember reading like 2 years ago that mrs Fabregas and Mrs Messi are good friends and the decision to move the families to Miami was made years ago. So this news doesn’t surprise me.

I was wondering what Miami's Designated Player situation was, but it looks like they don't have any under contract for next season. Higuain retired, one of them is out of contract and the other is on his way out. So they can bring in three new DPs.

FWIW, it appears that Suarez's MLS rights are owned by Seattle, so Miami would have to trade something to them for the rights to sigh him.

I saw online that T-Mobile at one point this year had an Apple MLS promotion for its customers. My wife has T-Mobile as her phone carrier so I might have to investigate. I don’t think I’d ever pay money for MLS access…but if I have a free subscription through T-Mobile, I’ll certainly tune in and check things out.

I actually did that a few months ago. I had a Sprint plan which was grandfathered and not eligible. The free Apple TV is for a certain plan, a pretty common plan but it was more money that my old Sprint plan and not worth the switch. I will get Apple TV and MLS Season Pass when Messi starts though.

You're like the target audience for the mainstream media, the person that rushes out to spend money on star power :)

I have FS1 and FOX they are still showing a few MLS weekly games, I'll watch some of the Messi games they put on there.
