This Pitt defense is looking special. Duzz has finally built up the defense with depth across the board and this Pitt defense looks good. The offense is showing improvements with Pickett learning and growing comfortable in the Whipple system.
If the Defense keeps playing this style pressuring the Quarterback and forcing teams into punts and soon creating turnover. That’s a recipe for a lot of wins. Add in the potential for the offense to score and put up lots of yards.
UCF is a daunting task but if Pitt can be 2-2 after the first 4 they are set up nicely to potentially win 9 games. If they are 1-3 they can still win 8.
I trust what Narduzzi is building and this team has talent they showed against PSU they can compete with programs ranked in the top 15.
Next year could be special too.
I think the 2019 Panthers can finish 9-3 and repeat as Coastal Champs based upon what I have seen from this team.
