I don't know it's going to play out, but there's a real chance of Pitt landing Notre Dame OL transfer Rocco Spindler - more than I initially assumed. I figured Pitt would get involved and make a go of it, but I didn't think it would get too far.
From the sound of things, it seems like it has gotten pretty far. There are still some final hurdles to clear, and I'm not sure how that will go. But there is mutual interest, and it's much more real than I thought it was going to be.
We'll see what happens, but I do think we'll know for certain - one way or the other - in the pretty near future.
I should add: I'm not posting this to get anyone's hopes up (although I know that will happen). Just sharing the latest that I'm hearing. I'm really not sure how this will play out.
