Some of the real diehard Pitt fans with years of patience and support coming to the realization that something is very wrong with the Football program. Might not be correctable at this point. Don't know all the internal doings down there on the Southside, but it really feels like this thing is unraveling both internally and externally. You have to be playing a "competitive" brand of football in the fourth year of a HC tenure. Blow outs are just not acceptable. Granted, guys that take over a new team can have a couple rough seasons in the initial phase of turning over a program. When you start to see teams digress and move backwards, you have to really look at a lot of things. Recruiting, innovation or lack of, discipline, focus, adjustments, effort, and fundamentals. Where do we stand in these area's? Sorry guys, I had my doubts last year. If not for Pickett and Miami game(Gave us a glimmer of hope) where would we be today? Probably not looking at an extension and in position to make a serious change. Throw stability out the door, that thinking is outdated. Stability only matters when your winning and even then, programs find great replacements when a good coach bails. Being a HC at a P5 program is high risk and high reward. If your not demanding excellence or at least competence then you got to start looking at other option. I'll let the season play out but nothing gives me hope that Narduzzi is the answer. Some guys are just not cut out to be HC's. We have seen that enough at Pitt from the beginning of Dave Hart. Lot of Pitt supporters have stuck by this program through thick and thin, but its starting to feel different. Thats not a great place to be.
