There is NO question this should reinforce the relationship of the Steelers and our ability to recruit players moving forward and getting to the NFL. What an amazing recruiting tool that NOBODY else in America can say they share a facility with an NFL team.

What a great night for both teams in so many ways.

You know connor is going to sell pitt to recruits.

But instead of social media to communicate. .....he can walk down the hall and meet face to face.

A lot of posters here ( not incorrectly in my view) have dismissed the proximity to the steelers in the recruiting process ......suggesting that pitts results on the field or in recruiting have not been influenced very much by this unique arrangement.

I would submit that this is about to change......

Connors presence is a game changer for pitt recruiting.

I love the pick in so many ways...

And I get warm and fuzzies thinking about the possibility too...

But in reality I doubt it helps THAT much. We thought the same with Heinz and the actual practice facility. And while maybe that DID get the program to a higher level than in the 90s, I'm not sure we are looking back in 5 years with a huge difference because of this.

Keep in mind, kids have a lot of exposure these days and sometimes the big programs, facilities, and their current coaches are "famous" enough. So lots of competition out there.

That said...it ain't gonna hurt.

Agree with all of that, including the last sentence.

Conner is unique. He will forever be a great ambassador and salesman for Pitt.
