Bingo. I’ll admit that I was down on him before his last year at Pitt. But he knew what his weaknesses were and he worked on them and improved tremendously. IMO that was impressiveSome guys are just winners. They have enough of the measurables but those intangibles are off the charts!
Boswell is just a hair behind Tucker as a kicker. What the hell are you watching.Boz is the second highest paid kicker in the league. Horrible contract hasn’t come close to justifying the salary
Boswell has missed 8 FGs this year and has the lowest FG% of the 32 kickers in the NFL this year.Boswell is just a hair behind Tucker as a kicker. What the hell are you watching.
I LOVE asinine posts like this.Ok this one is over. Now for gracious sake LOSE ON PURPOSE NEXT WEEK and don’t blow 5-6 MORE draft positions like you’ve already done with these meaningless “victories” this past month
Yeah the growth of this team in “meaningless” games can’t be underestimated. Growth between the ears mostly. I wonder what is changing in the draftroom with this team’s maturation? OL is solidifying and not just from my point of view. Thinking D will be the focus in the draft. Wideout maybe with the Bears pick. Who knows.I LOVE asinine posts like this.
So you’re saying Justin Tucker is just a hair above the worst kicker in the NFL? I didn’t bother to look it up but they mentioned more than once yesterday that Tucker has missed 6 FGs this year.Boswell has missed 8 FGs this year and has the lowest FG% of the 32 kickers in the NFL this year.
Boswell WAS a great kicker. This year, he is literally, statistically, the worst kicker in the NFL.
Pretty sure he has been hurt.Boswell has missed 8 FGs this year and has the lowest FG% of the 32 kickers in the NFL this year.

Tucker has missed 6 of 40, Boswell 8 of 26.So you’re saying Justin Tucker is just a hair above the worst kicker in the NFL? I didn’t bother to look it up but they mentioned more than once yesterday that Tucker has missed 6 FGs this year.
These Boswell comments started with a post saying there’s no way to justify the large contract the Steelers gave him. He’s definitely not having a good year and we all know he had one other bad year, but otherwise, he definitely belongs in the conversation of ‘2nd best’ behind Tucker based on track record.
Yeah ok, I assumed Tucker had a good bit more opportunities.Tucker has missed 6 of 40, Boswell 8 of 26.
3 of the 6 were blocked, the other 3 were over 50 yards.Yeah ok, I assumed Tucker had a good bit more opportunities.
Doesn’t change the fact that missing 6 out of 40 isn’t great by current NFL standards and not great by Tucker’s standards. Doesn’t mean Tucker’s contract wasn’t justified. Same with Boswell.
I think it’s universally acknowledged he’s been bad this year. I even mentioned it last week saying he yanked the 2 FGs he missed more because of him being bad this year than because of the cold weather. How much it’s due to injury who knows.3 of the 6 were blocked, the other 3 were over 50 yards.
Boswell is statistically the worst kicker in the NFL this year among kickers with more than 20 attempts.
Exactly. That dude is incredible. They will trot him out there for attempts that other coaches wouldn't even consider with their kicker.I agree. He is still the best. 5 of Tuckers 6 misses were from over 50 yards, and 2 of those over 60.
Prior to the Steelers winning possession, the Ravens stalled at midfield… would have been about a 66 yarder…the “book” certainly would agree to pin the Steelers back as the Ravens did. But maybe they should have let a Tucker take a crack at it.Exactly. That dude is incredible. They will trot him out there for attempts that other coaches wouldn't even consider with their kicker.
Very low reward for the risk. Reward is a 16-9 lead... still only up by one score. Risk is giving the Steelers the ball at the Raven's 45 yard line.Prior to the Steelers winning possession, the Ravens stalled at midfield… would have been about a 66 yarder…the “book” certainly would agree to pin the Steelers back as the Ravens did.
