Huge game for Sterling. 16 points on 4-10 shooting including 4-8 from 3ball land... and 4-4 from the stripe and those last two FTs were huge as it turned a 2 point lead into a 4 point lead.

I was ready to replace him in the starting lineup with Jones, even though Jones is pretty inconsistent, but Sterling was really looking good out there today.

Hmmm.... got beat bad a few times on D but makes up for that with rebounds.

Really need him to build on this performance going forward. Maybe it will give him some confidence and get him going.
We REALLY need scoring from the two. It will make the entire team better. Kid is a good rebounder, but he's here to score the ball.
One thing for sure, he's $$$ from the FT line!

Might have struggled at times defensively, but he also played a big part in forcing a few turnovers. IMO he's one of the most solid all-around players we've had. Great shooter that is solid on both ends of the floor. He is a huge upgrade from what we had last year.

And this should underscore your likely unintended point. There's a reason that he was playing instead of Jones or someone else, even if he wasn't lighting up the scoreboard nightly. I'll leave you to figure the rest of it out.

Glad to be of help.

--A highlight today was Sterling Smith's steal of a pass where he did the Harlem-Globetrotters dribbling as he controlled the ball. Terrific play.
