Still a 9 seed according to Joey Brackets...

Doesn't really matter at this point as Wednesday's game is basically the 1st of the play-ins.

Kinda a stretch that we beat the 'Cuse 3 straight games.
Actually, you looked at an old bracket, now he has us as a 10 playing Seton Hall, then winner gets Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. We are the last team with a bye, so we're 5 teams away from being out. Incidentally, SU is the 1st team of the last 4 in, so we right next to each other on the bubb.

So, if we lose, are we in the play in game ? What's is the % chance?

You're asking the wrong person, I leave predictions to the experts or the self-proclaimed experts. But I have read in several places that the game means more to the Cuse, but win or lose, we both may be slide in.

I would think if we lose we are either a) in a play in game or b) out. I just think the committee would love to hammer Dixon again for gaming the RPI system.

I believe Boeheim is 2-0 against Dixon in tournament play. Which means Pitt will probably win.

In terms of BBall, Pitt has a strong group that'll travel (and UD is drivable)
-something tells me if it comes down to like USC/Oregon St or Pitt for a final spot there...we'd get it. Those fans will never come out east for that...and we'd have a decent showing.

Jerry P's still got us at a 9,
10's:Cuse, VCU, Temple, South Carolina
11's: Monmouth and St. Mary's
Play In: UC, Vandy, UConn, Tulsa

Basically... we can get in with an L on wed...but it would need to be the "Good Loss" thing...

The games at Dayton are essentially sold out at this point. They don't need help from the teams playing there to fill the arena.

Not only that, but I doubt any large number of Pitt fans are going to go to Dayton on a week night for a game on two days notice.
