I used to read the Post Gazette, but quit doing so because of its psu bias.
And the few times I have looked, it's website looks like an awful mess.

I started then reading the Trib, despite its far right leanings. I mean, I'm just reading the sports section.
Unfortunately, they've started selling ads to one of the strip joints. I thought this was a moral, conservative paper? Anyways, not something I really want to see while checking out the paper at work.

I've considered Kovajevics site for a while, but of course, that costs money. And I'm not real crazy about how his site has expanded.

Any other suggestions?

No

If you are only looking for Pittsburgh sports news, I cant help you. Frankly, twitter tends to be the best source for decent sports news.

But news news, I pretty much stick to BBCNews.com. Actually get some international news, which is so important but ignored in a lot of our news sources. I find that its fairly moderate (of course realizing that just about all media has some liberal bias), but it does change article to article.

I've somewhat done the same as you. Used to read both the Post Gazette and the Trib Sports online every day. Stopped reading the Post Gazette a long time ago, still visit the Trib daily though.

For Univ of Pitt Sports-specific info, I really think Vuk's Pittsburgh Sports Now site is real good. They have a steady stream of info/articles, yeah they may jump the gun sometimes and throw out teasers here and there, but definitely something that's tolerable considering overall quantity and quality of info the site provides. Harry the Pitt Guru Psaros really has good articles since he joined that site a while back.

I totally agree, it not something I want to see or read about either, that's crap advertising and they do it because the sports sections are basically read by men so they stick that crap right there where men can see it and respond to it by frequently going there.

Since when does conservative and morality go hand in hand?

And what is wrong with their political leanings?

DK on PittsburghSports is great. Podcast are really good. Has great coverage on the Steelers/Pirates/Pens the college coverage is average but I don't use his site for my Pitt info all because Chris Peak and Rivals deliver the best Pitt news around

Well, I tried Kdkas, and it seemed ok at first, and then the same ad appeared.
Next.
Tried Wtaes, but that site is a mess. Couldn't even locate the score of the Pens game, not that I wanted to read about that mess.
Try, try again.
