The embarrassment was UNLV not calling timeout when Syracuse had 1st and goal with just under a minute left. They could have gotten the ball back with like 45 seconds left. Their QB really impressed me and likely would have came down and won it.
Michigan State with the unlikely backdoor cover won me my Syracuse moneyline/MSU +23.5 parlay. But, man... I feel bad for UNLV. Both of these teams look like they would play Pitt to a high-scoring coin flip.
Total gift. Cuse will probably be ranked because no one watched his slopfest.
It was a hard played competitive game. Slopfest can used to describe every college game, tbh. That's part of what makes it so much fun.
Does the power conference supply the refs in a P5 vs. G5 game when the P5 school is the road team?
That type of hit has been roughing to passer in NCAA football for a long time ... It's been 20 years since I played but even back then, I got flagged for RTP for that exact same hit, on the exact same type of play (screen pass). The ref told me the hit wasn't late. It was excessive because I hit him with my head -- and this was pre-targeting being a penalty, there weren't any rules on the books about "crown of the helmet" or "head or neck" area.

Yeah, the dude lowered his head and drove it into the QB's chest. That's going to get called roughing the passer all day long. The defender is just lucky he didn't hit him a few inches higher, or the targeting foul would have been upheld and he would have gotten thrown out of the game.
Typically the visiting team's conference supplies the refs, but that is something that gets put into the contract when the games are scheduled.

I admit, you got me there. Was just watching them meltdown late in the game. They have actually been pretty good relative to recent Syracuse teams.
