As evidenced by my tardiness at chiming in on other topics over here, I've been too preoccupied lately to do much internetting, but this news out of Philadelphia (which has been brewing for a few days now) is a stunner. The pro-stadium President at my other alma mater suddenly finds himself under fire (literally) over some unrelated matters and is expected to be dismissed shortly, This can't be good for the proposed campus stadium. I just hope that the Board of Trustees doesn't go back to the days of David Adamany (every time I type the man's name, I do so with revulsion), who did everything he could to kill Temple football when he was President (which wasn't all that long ago) because he felt it to be antithetical to the purpose of a university.

Yeah, I got an email from Temple about that. Sure has been a bit of a turnover this summer with the provost gone, too.

That is definitely not good news for on-campus stadium proponents at Temple.

What did the president do to cause such a dramatic shift in the board's attitude towards him? This is thing feels very weird.

Wow seems things are in disarray at Temple. It's definitely not the best timing for the AD as they're actually winning and drawing better in football.

Medical center has been struggling in a financial sense since I was an undergrad 40 years ago. Largely a function of the area it serves.
