Yea... Only up 5 at the half to a 4-7 team, although it seems like they should be better than that. They seem pretty good actually. Pretty athletic and they announced they (west Car) have 9 scholarship players that are fresh/sophomores, so should be decent in the future.
We need to play a better second half.

Western Carolina is at #i89 in Pomeroy... as compared to Eastern Washington who is at #186.
We were really up for the Davidson game at MSG and have come out here 3 days later... sluggish. It happens. Hopefully pick it up in the second half.

Believe me, if we lose this game that guy will be nowhere to be found. I just hope Pitt turns it on this last 10 minutes. No defense at all.

Most on this board overreact no matter what happens. If we blow out Davidson, then that must mean we are going to be 19-1. And if we play crappy and overlook Western Carolina, then we suck and won't make the NCAA tourney. Guys, it is usually never as good or as bad as it seems. We were due for a game like this and we still found a way to dig down and win. This game will end up helping this team out much more than another 30 point win. We may actually learn from it and realize that we need to bring it every game.
Chill people, a win is a win, although this was one that tested every true fan! 2-13 on 3s. Sterling Smith, 0-10. Still, a character builder, and a reminder that they can't rely on hitting 10 3s every game. W Carolina has a fine coach, so they were set up to defend pretty well.
Yeah... Artis showed up for sure. The ONLY player that did not have a good game against Davidson. He made up for it in this game in no uncertain terms. 29 points, 8 rebs and 4 assists.
Robinson on the surface had a really BAD game.... 1-5 from the floor and 2 turnovers that were lazy passes that led to runouts. But then on the other hand, he almost had a triple double with 11 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds.
Smith was the one who REALLY had a bad game.... 0-6 from the floor... but he hit 2 crucial FTs down the stretch.
The same old story of the team leaving it on the court at MSG... and then a game 3 days later. Luckily, Artis had a bad game at MSG and had something to prove... and he sure brought it in no uncertain terms in this game.
Well said BJ! I was really concerned we were getting TOO confident after our blowout win over Davidson. Luckily, we were able to bring enough to get a W here.
