That Wisconsin team was really really bad

I dont think we were very good this year but we did enough to earn a bid. And for once, the committee did us a huge favor giving us a no-offense team in the first game and the worst 2 (yea MSU lost) and we can't take advantage.

Only Pitt can hold a team to 31% and 47 points and lose. For a program built on defense and playing at a slower pace, we seem to be terrible in games played in the 40s and low to mid 50s.

Pitt was 0-11 this year when scoring less than 65.

And yet by not playing Luther, Jamie apparently thought it was wise to abandon the offense and try to become a defensive, slower paced team, which we've demonstrated is not how we win games. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the coaches meetings this week to know whose idea this was and if anyone disagreed.

Yes they were really, really bad tonight. Somehow they still found a way to win. Actually they're very similar to Pitt, some good days and some bad. That's why the game was considered a toss up, both teams were lousy and it basically came down to the final shot.

This game rebukes the talent is the issue thing.

Yes, they are a top 15 team, but that wisky team is no more talented, no way anyone can make that argument, the panthers led like 37 of 40 minutes.

And, frankly, wisky is not all that mentally rough, either.

BUT, even at that, these guys were more mentally weak.
