I'm going to guess they start around October 1 but play the season without fans allowed to attend. I think there will continue to be a limit on mass gatherings until there is a vaccine. Thoughts?

We are about 5 months away until camp would begin. A lot can happen between now and then.

I think we'll be back to normal well before NFL kickoff. The American people and the American economy will not support sheltering in place for half-a-year.

I predict you will make a thousand more predictions by then.

I think the worst of the virus will be behind us by then and most will return to their normal lives but I really doubt the government is going to allow 100K people traveling from many different states to squish together in a football stadium in Central PA. I just dont.

Actually from what I understand, if the curve of new infections flattens enough, and begins to be reduced, normal life can resume. But of course in modern PC USA, we may have to deal with OVERKILL.

If this limit on mass gatherings allows the curve to remain flat, do you think they are going to allow 70K-100K people to start going to football games if there's no vaccine yet? I just doubt that. They won't want a surge in cases resulting from that.

I think the key here is when can we expect to have enough testing. When we get to the point where everyone can get tested we'll be in better shape. 4 people were given the first vaccine tests yesterday. But the best estimate on when a vaccine will be ready for the entire public is at least a year.

Again with the overkill. This isn't influenza. It is a totally different animal which the human body has zero immunity to.
