The 3-2-1 Column: 3 observations, 2 questions & 1 prediction on football and the hoops search

Chris,

In your article you wrote, twice in fact and I’m combining your two quotes, “I can’t speak to the specific successes of Boberly’s track record or resume specifically….” Sure you can. He has had successes hasn’t he? Please speak about them. What sort of success has he had? Has he turned out and developed any NFL offensive linemen in his coaching background?

Thank you.

Sure. I can retype his bio from the Pitt media guide and list the number of NFL linemen he has coached. But I cannot tell you what those players were before he coached them. I cannot tell you the impact he had on their development, which is what I meant when I referenced his specific successes.

Fair enough, I understand where you're coming from now.

So which players did he coach make the NFL?

Eugene Monroe at Virginia, Brad Badger and Nathan Marks at Stanford and Mark Fenton at Colorado are the guys listed in his Pitt bio.
