Not sure if this was noted........but one of the remaining gifts from Pederson was two shades of gold.....the pants and the helmet.

Which is why it is wise to wear the all blues at home....and the all whites on the road....until a real AD like MR Barnes can straighten out this embarrassment.

Completely disagree. Gold pants with blue at home is a given and I am starting to like blue pants and white shirts on road. ALL WHITES is penn state.

We should change pants with ND.. Our metallic gold pants match their helmets and vice versa..

Watch TV any Saturday and the tons of games to choose from and you will see a lot of helmets and jerseys not matching, let alone complain about our helmets and pants. It is almost becoming rare to see helmets match tone with anything else the teams wear.

Folks I like all blue but this "hey dem pants don't match " complaint is really dumb... None of the gold helmet teams match... FSU doesn't ... ND doesn't ... GT doesn't ... It sounds like myopic complaint to me... Look around there are ALOT of non matching unis...fabric and plastic aren't the same....so what?

I like the blue on blue at home. And the white on gold away, exept when facing another gold school then go white on white or white on blue

Plastic and fabric are never going to match as you said. I'm not sure what's more rediculous, worrying about this or blaming Pederson. If anyone needs to figure it out its Nike. Since Pederson is blamed for everything including flooding rain, when do we hold Barnes accountable for so many empty seats on a sunny 65 degree homecoming game with a 3-1 football team! Give it up already!

I've always hated the blue on blue. For some reason the UVA game they actually looked pretty sharp though. I think in general though, Pitt needs to wear gold pants 90% of their games. The blue pants on the road has really grown on me though.

When Pitt wore the all gold unis, none of the three components matched.

you are right.. two shades of gold is bad, 3 is ridiculous.

Right. And I don't think anyone should expect the helmets to match the gold of the pants, since as was stated they are different materials. However, when other teams wear all gold/yellow, their jerseys tend to match their pants. GT. Vanderbilt. ND. SF 49ers. Green Bay Packers. Etc. Etc. I know to some this comes off as unnecessary bitching, but really, how hard would it be for the folks at Pitt to just make sure the gold jerseys match the gold pants? Obviously other teams make sure.

It really has been amateur hour starting at the top for Pitt football for way too long.

all blue is growing on me. Was liking blue tops with gold pants but im now a fan of all blue..

All Blues are sweet. Pitt doesn't look like ND or Navy. They look new and fresh. If ND is a night game, and they wear those, that will look sweet on primetime TV.

What's funny about this bitching is that how many teams don't even wear their own colors anymore and we're worried about shading? Sheesh.

I thought for a minute this was a message board for Project Runway. Our fans always need something to complain about! Last week it was about how the students leave early. The students did a good job supporting the team last game and made a difference, so now uniform complaints come up again.

Definitely in the minority then, but seeing the team during warmups, I loved the all gold. Unfortunately for me, they never made those jerseys available for sale. Still looking for the modern day basketball jerseys in gold, if anyone has one size XL they would sell let me know.

I don't like all blue or all white. Those are not Pitt colors to me.

Did anyone ever consider we purchased seconds to save money?

I've always loved the shiny blue pants with white tops

From my perspective, Barnes becomes on the hook [with respect to football] with the start of the 2016 season. Considering all the problems and issues he inherited, it will likely take a couple of seasons to get it all going in the right direction. When you are making in the neighborhood of $800K per year and are the head of the operation--be sure--you have "earned" all the blame/credit for the operation you are running. Send my best wishes to our former AD and his new employer. LOL Hail to Pitt!
